Hugh Phillips is a local Gower butcher whose business has been in the family since 1878, when Hugh’s Grandfather first started out. Hugh sources stock from his own farm and also from nearby surrounding areas, and as he’s is the only butcher to have his own abattoir on Gower, it means our customers can pre-order specialist cuts of meats.

Specialising in… Welsh lamb, Seasonal salt marsh lamb and Welsh Black and Herefordshire beef, homemade sausages and free range poultry.

To make an order through us, simply ask at the counter when you visit or call us 01792 233230 and tell us your requirements. All meat is delivered fresh to us every Thursday morning.

We use all of Hugh’s meat in our Coffee Shop cooking !

Don’t forget! You can pre-order your Christmas Turkey (or any other meat) with us. Orders start being taken in October and you can specify weight and cuts, as you require and Hugh will always do his best to meet these.
